About Joy Hyde
Third generation artist Joy Hyde was raised in the Arts from earliest childhood. Her early style and technique were inherited from several family members spanning two generations. As a young adult in the Santa Barbara area, she continued to develop he work in the company of friends who were well know California artists. Informal training at this time came from a member of the excellent staff of the Fine Arts Department in the renowned Brooks Institute of Photography. Joy's life in California also included a mixed pallet of memberships, shows, galleries and activities in the artistic community. Following a move to the Midwest, she continued to develop her talent by studying the styles and techniques prevalent in the area and with the well-known Raymond Popp and Dee Fuerst. Joy participated in many regional and national shows. She is also involved with the art guilds, Visual Artist Alliance of Springfield and Springfield Regional Arts Council. Joy Hyde practices various styles of work including Chinese Brush Painting.
