After I finished my formal education, I spent time developing my watercolor techniques, but also worked with oils and acrylics; painting on canvas, wood and pottery. Although mostly self taught, I have studied with many different artists in both regional and local classes. Now more than ever, I still enjoy the fluidity and freedom of creative expression that I experience with watercolor.
Inspiration presents itself to me in a variety of ways. While I grew up in California, I was born in Colorado and I am still awed by the grandeur of the high peaks and meadows of the Rocky Mountains. As a resident of the Ozarks for many years, I find new visions every day by observing the ever changing beauty of nature found here locally and as time permits by traveling the magnificent vistas of the National Park system.

I am a member of the Visual Artists Alliance and the Springfield Regional Arts Council. My work has been shown in many different venues locally including The Creamery, the Gillioz Theatre during First Friday Art Walks and the Springfield Garden Expo. I have work currently being exhibited at the Juanita K Hammons Hall for the Performing Arts (juried) and the Guaranty Bank corporate headquarters (by request). This Spring, I will be participating as a charter exhibitor at the annual Nixa Art in the Garden Azalea Festival (juried).
